If you are a pet parent, bringing home your human baby to meet their new siblings can be a little nerve-wracking. You never know if your dog will bark too loud, or if the cat will get jealous, or maybe your child just simply won't be a "pet person." That's why it melts my heart to see videos like this where babies and pets seem to be getting along just fine.
In this video, two Burmese cats cuddle right up to new baby Erin and seem to be guarding her while she sleeps. Erin is dreaming away while the cats seem pretty attentive to their surroundings. I wonder if they're thinking, "Don't mess with our baby!"
This lucky little girl has two very protective "siblings" looking our for her. It's just too cute.
When her dad posted the video, apparently he got a few comments expressing concern that the cats might smother little Erin. He addressed those by saying, "The cats never slept at night with our girls, mainly because the cats fidget and would wake them up, but do I have any concerns about them smothering the child? No!"
If you want to see some more videos of pets taking care of babies, watch this adorable video of pets and babies meeting for the first time. I also love this one of a dog "congratulating" a baby after she crawls for the first time.
