There are few moments in life as joyful, exciting, or emotional as the addition of a new baby. Whether they're born into or adopted by a family, it's always a precious occasion to be remembered forever.
But when one young couple learned their family would be blessed with a new addition, they decided to bring along a special friend to help ensure they'd always have evidence of this beautiful day.
David and Sarah Olson of Minneapolis, MN, were thrilled when they learned that a baby girl in Tallahassee, FL had just been born — and was awaiting their immediate adoption.
However, before hopping on their plane, they called up someone very special: Kristen Prosser, their best friend and a professional photographer. Camera in-hand, Kristen was thrilled to board the plane with them.
Now, the beautifully emotional and stunningly raw photos she captured are going viral — and touching every heart they come upon.

David and Sarah Olson always knew they wanted three children — but when their second son Levi was born with spina bifida, doctors warned the couple against trying for a third.
But the young couple felt like their family just wasn't finished yet. After a lot of thought, prayer, and attempts at conception, David and Sarah finally knew what they needed to do: adopt.
So when they got the call that there had been a "stork drop" — that is, a baby offered up for adoption on a moment's notice — David and Sarah wasted no time. They left at 3:30 a.m. to board the long flight from Minnesota to Florida.
But they wouldn't be traveling alone. Before departing, David and Sarah asked their friend Kristen, a professional photographer, to accompany them. What she captured on this emotional journey is stirring.
The very first time this happy young couple saw their new baby girl — whom they named Tilly Pearl — Kristen was there with camera in-hand.
Now, because of the raw emotion she captured in these intimate moments, Kristen's beautiful photographs have gone viral.
Though they just met, David and Sarah's love for their tiny Tilly is so clear in these amazing photos — and Kristen was honored to witness the precious moment.
"I was so privileged to watch this all unfold. What a perfect example of unconditional and sacrificial love," Kristen wrote on her Facebook page. "It was one of the most special moments of my life."
"I have always wanted to photograph the first meeting of an adopted baby," she added. "I got to be a part of this incredible moment with one of my best friends!"
Now, David and Sarah will always have their friend's priceless photos to remember this special moment.
But meeting and adopting Tilly Pearl was so emotional, it's doubtful they would need a physical reminder of this beautiful day.
"When Tilly was brought in, immediately our hearts melted," David told Today.com. "As soon as we laid eyes on her, we knew this was our daughter."
Now, the happy family can't imagine life before or without her. They know without a doubt that little Tilly was the missing piece of their hearts.
