A group of beachgoers near Myrtle Beach got quite the surprise when they noticed a rather intimidating looking creature was trying to join in on the fun! While everyone this summer has been talking about the danger of shark attacks, no one has even thought of this other potential hazard!
Imagine, you're sitting on the beach on your weeklong vacation at Pawley's Island. You just ate some amazing seafood at Murrells Inlet the night before, but today you're just going to take it as slow as possible.
You lean back and soak up some sun; but suddenly you hear screaming. You look up, worried about everyone's safety, assuming it's a hulking shark or an angry dolphin, but instead it's an alligator?
An alligator who seems to know how to bodysurf. You stare at the wild beast before springing into action! But how do you capture an alligator?
Luckily, no one got hurt, there's a lady who seems to know what to do so you all decide to work as a team to make sure you can move this beautiful animal to a spot that's a bit more secluded!

This gator wanted to move from the calmer marshy area of the Southern tip of Pawley's Island into the ocean waves!
Maybe he just wanted to surf some waves, or maybe he wanted to scrounge up some tasty crabs.
With so many families and tourists around, everyone figured it would be best to capture the wayward alligator and take him somewhere a bit safer, both for humans and him!
The gator however, wasn't going to give up without a fight! Going into death rolls and angrily biting the air; this big guy showed everyone how tough he was!
Tiring himself out, this brave women built up the courage to close the business end of this powerful animal.
Fighting every step of the way, this magnificent gator was finally gotten under control. It took a while but these brave humans did it. With so many humans around, he could easily hurt someone or even get hit by a car or Jetski!
With plans to take him to a proper center, away from human interaction, this pretty gator has a wonderful life ahead of him! Thanks to all the kind folks who cared enough to capture him and bring him to a safer habitat!
