After weeks of practicing a dance routine with her two friends, one little girl still remained heartbroken that her father, who was serving in the military, wouldn't be home to see it. But she still found an adorable way to honor him.
In the video, the three girls take the stage with a sign that reads: "Thank you to all our veterans and those who serve."
"My dad has been in the Army for nine months," the little girl says. Her friends stand next to her and add: "We are dedicating this to Mr. Luke."
The girls take their places to perform the adorable dance number. But little do they know, the proud army dad is actually watching from behind the stage!
When they finish, they are about to walk off when when the curtain opens and out walks the young girl's dad dressed in uniform. Cue waterworks and cheers! She had not seen her father for months, so the surprise homecoming was pretty emotional.
These soldiers devote themselves to protecting our country and spend months and years away from their loved ones. When they finally return to their families, the surprise homecomings are nothing short of magical.
