These new red-orange bricks were the perfect materials to use for a homemade backyard grill.
Also, using brick was a smart choice as it will resist the wet weather, keeping the BBQ looking great for years.
This smart DIYer started by building up the corners and lining everything up with the patio bricks below.
He started to build up the walls line by line.
Choosing a slightly more difficult route, he decided to create small arches with the bricks.
He had to use a wooden arch template to form the arch.
There couldn't be too many layers on top of the arch, as the excess weight might upset it as things started to settle.
This DIYer stuck metal plates right into the mortar that will later be used for holding the grill and charcoal tray.
He used tiles for the roof of the BBQ that matched the tiles on the roof of his house. He also built up the BBQ chimney on top of steel bars stretching across from the sides.
The end result was a gorgeous brick grill that was absolutely perfect for hosting fall barbecues.
This DIY backyard addition is certain to make his barbecues the talk of the neighborhood.
