It continually amazes me that our world is so jam-packed with unsung heroes. The big names get all the credit, but ordinary people are out there every single day, making a difference in the lives of others.
These are the folks who let their moral compasses guide them, like the pastor who halted an interview to help retrieve a casket caught in flood waters. Small acts of kindness don’t always get major attention, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t making a huge difference.
While unsung heroes come from every walk of life, they’re often the people that you see every day, and who make it their job to watch out for the community, like this observant pizza delivery boy who helped save the life of one of his customers.
Turns out, the pizza business could be a training ground for this kind of heroism. Angela Nguyen, a Domino’s delivery driver, is making major waves in one man’s life after noticing that his trailer, where she delivers regularly, has no heat or running water.
Lee Haase, 76 years old, has been living on the edge of homelessness following the destruction of his house in a storm, and his son’s death. “Lee has told me that he’s pretty much given up on life,” said Nguyen.
That was all it took for her to make a big decision, saying, “Living in this trailer with no heat, no sanitation whatsoever — he has no toilet — no water, nothing, is not acceptable to me.” Check out the video below to see how she created change, and rallied a whole community behind her cause.
