Has your closet been accruing far too many long sleeve shirts or pullover sweaters that you're attached to and just not ready to give up? Why not turn them into something you'll actually use with a clever upcycle?
We've been sharing a few of our favorite tutorials for fall upcycles in the past couple of weeks, and one way to turn that old sweater into something useful is with DIY leg warmers (no seriously, these are totally cute and super easy). Another way might be to give it a new life with a DIY open back alteration held together with darling bows.
Those both work with pullovers, but for long sleeve T-shirts, the DIY project below from YouTube channel easyupcycling is genius. Rather than get rid of an old T-shirt you love, why not turn it into a cardigan? If a sweater or long sleeve t-shirt has shrunk in length, this may be the perfect way to give it new life. Just follow her instructions below, and turn that item into a cropped sweater to be worn over shirts or dresses (also a great way to layer in the cooler seasons). And you'll save a fortune on a new sweater for fall!
Would you try this DIY cardigan? Let us know in the comments, and SHARE this tutorial with your friends on Facebook so they can try it, too!
