It is finally my favorite season of the year: fall.
That means it's time to break out the chunky sweaters and boots, admire the changing leaves, sip on hot tea, and maybe even take on some autumnal DIY projects, like these adorable maple leaf Mason Jar candle holders.
It's also time for those cute little miniature pumpkins to pop up all over your grocery store. But since they're way too small to make into a Jack-O'-Lantern, or to even decorate with paint, what can really be done with them?
Thankfully, the talented Lacey Haskell of Feathering My Nest has come up up with the perfect solution: miniature pumpkin candles.
There's nothing more cozy than a candle burning in your home on the first few crisp days of fall — especially if they look and smell like these do! These are the perfect addition to your Halloween decor, or your Thanksgiving dinner table, that your friends and family are sure to love.

To transform these little gourds into candles, she first gathered some candle wax, wicks, Pumpkin Spice scent, a knife, melon baller, candy thermometer, skewers, and a double boiler for the wax.
She removed the top of the mini pumpkins and used a melon baller to scoop out the inside.
The melon baller helped create a really clean edge inside the mini pumpkins.
She then placed the candle wicks inside of the pumpkins.
To heat the wax, she boiled water in a pot and placed a metal bowl on top.
In the top pot, she placed the candle wax to melt. Once the wax heated up to 185 degrees Fahrenheit, she added the Pumpkin Spice scent.
With skewers in place to hold the wicks upright, she then poured the hot wax into the mini pumpkins.
Once the wax dried, she used scissors to cut the wick shorter.
Voila! A perfect pumpkin candle!
The candles will last around one week before the pumpkin dries out.
Not only do they look and smell amazing, they would make wonderful additions to any fall-themed table.
