Being chased by a giant pumpkin sounds like the ultimate nightmare, but this is a scenario that actually happened on the street in Arizona. According to USA Today, a 25-foot tall, 350-pound pumpkin was spotted rolling over cars on a road in Peoria until it got stuck on a streetlight pole for a brief moment. After a little struggle the pumpkin managed to break free again and rolled towards the unknown.
Witness Patrick Sparkes commented on what he saw: "I was so shocked to see that it was like bouncing like a basketball all the way down the road. We showed up and it wasn't there and we spent the last 40 minutes driving around looking for it."
City officials confirmed that the pumpkin made its escape from a Halloween display aimed to promote the Peoria Monster Bash, thanks to strong winds. One of the employees connected to the event commented: "This is so heavy, and the straps it just like ripped the rings out, went rolling down the streets."
