If you've ever dreamed of living on the water, but find that the classic boat shape just doesn't do it for you, then you might want to check out the Floatwing.
This floating home takes its cues from boats, but looks more like a spacious, airy, modern home than a yacht. This unique floating home, created by design company Friday, is like the seafaring version of the classic tiny home, but with some added twists.
For one thing, its size can actually be altered. It's also fully self-sufficient in terms of power thanks to its solar panels, and features a stove, a barbecue, and even a wine cellar! And like this land-roving mobile home, the Floatwing can be moved around with two outboard motors.
So while floating around the world might not be the most practical choice for your family, we do suggest taking a moment to at least go on an imaginary vacation with the Floatwing.

The Floatwing is unique in that it can be adjusted to meet the needs of the residents. It starts off being 20 feet wide, but additions can be installed to make it 33 or even 60 feet wide.
This means that the Floatwing can be a studio or a three-bedroom home. It's up to you!
Inside, it's modern and spacious.
Two outboard motors mean that you can take your home just about anywhere, and take in a new view each day.
A heat pump and air-conditioning generator mean that the home stays comfortable no matter what the weather, and a pellet stove provides warmth, too.
There are also huge windows for optimal views, and a terrace upstairs.
From inside, it looks just like any other modern home!
To make this all possible, the house is powered by solar panels, which make the house completely self-sufficient for seven days when they're fully charged.
That means you can float off, relax, and still be comfortable!
