Mall Santa Surprises Little Girl With Sign Language

It's every little one's Christmas dream to go and meet Santa. The tradition is simple, you sit on Santa's lap and let the jolly fellow know what you want for Christmas. Then you snap a photo for old time's sake. While plenty of us have gotten to experience this as children, maybe even up until we were a little too old for it (but we humored Mom and Dad), we should remember that not every kid gets to meet Kris Kringle.

When one little girl got on Santa's lap, it seemed her visit would begin and end there. Like 4-year-old Neeva Goff, the little girl was hearing-impaired and couldn't speak well. For a moment it looked like she wouldn't get to receive any of Santa's silly jokes or kind words about being a good little girl. "Sorry, she can't talk very well," the mom apologized to Santa. But then Santa kindly asked, "Can she sign at all?" Just as the little one was looking away, he lightly tapped her and began to use sign language with his hands. In an instant, because of Santa's thought that every kid should get the same chance at holiday cheer, one little girl got a bit of it.
