Hot Wheels Sets World Record With 332-Foot Jump With Driver Tanner Foust

Hot Wheels is no stranger to crazy stunts and world record setting. In 2012, driver Brent Fletcher set the world record for the longest corkscrew jump at 92 feet, launching his buggy off an angled ramp. The toy car manufacturer even took on the dangerous wall-riding stunt, and conquered it!

But just the year before, in 2011, Hot Wheels set another astounding world record that hasn't been beat since: the world's longest car jump!

At the Indianapolis 500 car race, the trademark orange ramp was set up. But this time, an entire crowd of thousands was in attendance, watching the thrilling action.

Driver Tanner Foust took on the challenge.

The wait seems almost excruciatingly long as he sits in his car for the moment to make the 10-story drop down the ramp. He travels 90 feet of orange ramp before the heart-stopping moment of truth… Will he make it to the other side?

Sure enough, he does, and travels 332 feet in the air to make it to the landing ramp!

The same jump was attempted by Guerlain Chicherit in 2014, who wanted to top Foust's 332 feet by a 360-foot jump  but he didn't succeed. The stunt resulted in a horrifying crash, though Chicherit emerged with just a few minor injuries.
