In the age of smartphones and digital cameras, it's rare to see a developed photograph except for in picture frames and in wallets. My family still has some, but I've noticed that they're becoming more and more obsolete, despite the comeback of the Polaroid. So when we do find photographs, gathering dust in an attic, or sitting in a show box, they tend to be old. Sometimes, they're even decades-old, like the photographs this woman's mother has kept over the years.
Veteran Eric King came across a treasure trove of photographs and other mementos in an old briefcase, found by a coworker as they were cleaning up an old house. Knowing that Eric was a fan of President Eisenhower, the coworker passed it on to Eric after he found that many of the contents were relevant to the former president.
In fact, the briefcase contained newspaper clippings, photos, and even letters from the president's inner circle, occasionally featuring the president himself.
The owner of these items appears to be a former WWII brigadier general. Eric says that this makes the find extra-special, as the two men were both in the military.
Now, Eric is seeking out the relatives of the owner of the abandoned briefcase to return it to them.
