The whole world was stunned when they heard the unexpected news of the death of legendary musician David Bowie. His long bout with cancer was kept secret from the public, so when he died mere days after the release of his final album, it seemed as if he planned his whole life around creating this final perfect "goodbye" letter to his fans.
While David Bowie has millions of fans on Earth, it seems that he has quite a few fans floating out in space as well. Aboard the International Space Station, Canadian hero and astronaut Chris Hadfield has been known to play a tune or two, hundreds of miles above the Earth's surface.
Astronauts don't get to bring a lot of personal items up with them, seeing as every single pound costs about $10,000 to get into orbit. So that really proves how important this musical instrument really is to this brave man!
Performing a truly wonderful version of David Bowie's "Space Oddity," you can see how much he loves the singer. Bowie often sung about space, and loved the idea of hurtling through the Milky Way, so who better to sing a beautiful tribute than a man who is actually doing it while singing his song!
Celebrating his life and works is the best way to remember this talented musician, and though he may be gone, he will never be forgotten.
