Do you ever get bored of regular buns? They're a really great way to totally get your long hair out of the way, but sometimes they can be more suited for casual occasions. Think: a messy bun paired with a flannel shirt and jeans, versus a messy bun with an evening cocktail dress. It could work, but wouldn't you want to dress it up a little more?
Braids are an awesome way to add some texture and pizazz to any hairstyle. If you do a French braid on the top of your head into a bun, that could be a fun way to dress up the look. But what this woman does? It's so unexpected!
She sections off her hair on the back of her head, instead of on the top. Then? She braids it upside down, working her way toward where her bun will sit. If you have a hard time with flyaway hairs at the base of your hairdo, this is a really stylish way of securing those baby hairs. Oh, and it also looks so cool.
Then, she takes it another step further with the bun itself. Using a bun maker, she uses another braid to pump up her look. Yes, it does take a little bit longer than tossing your hair in a hair tie, but the payoff is totally worth it! This style could go with a flannel or a cocktail dress, too.
