Since he was born, 9-year-old Eric Piburn has suffered from a congenital heart defect. Piburn, who also has pulmonary hypertension, has had four open-heart surgeries and is expecting to undergo more.
Through the difficult times, the one thing that has helped the Florida boy feel a little better is watching Wheel of Fortune. He simply adores the show's longtime stars Pat Sajak and Vanna White.
As you'll see in the heartwarming video below, the upbeat boy received a Wheel of Fortune surprise of a lifetime (much like the boy who got to live out his dream of being Batman). With the help of Make-A-Wish and Florida's WTSP, Piburn was able to interact with the famous duo via satellite.
The second he saw them on the television screen, Piburn screamed, "Holy moly!" After speaking with them for a bit, Piburn also got to play a quick game with the hosts.
His mom, who appeared emotional while watching the incredible moment, emphasized just how much this meant to her son.
“This is everything to him,” his mom Randi said in the Humankind video below. “I think this is something that we’re going to be talking about for a very, very long time.”
