This Imgur user knew that he wanted to create a one-of-a-kind space for his family's pet chameleon, so he got himself an old TV armoire for the bargain price of $50.

With the help of family members, he was able to remove the interior of the doors, to later be replaced by glass. Everything was then sanded, and several coats of Minwax wood finishing were added.

He then cut out additional windows from the sides of the piece.

A PVC drainage system was added to the bottom, and plant boxes were installed to hold live greenery.

The Imgur user wrote, "I also used Great Stuff spray foam for the background, painted with Rust-Oleum spray paint."

He used pieces of beaver wood and treated driftwood to give his chameleon a few perches to climb on.

He also added fresh plants, including "two types of Schefflera [and] Kalanchoe flowers."

In no time at all, the former armoire was transformed into the perfect home for his chameleon, Mill.

However, before Mill could move in, this cautious pet owner made sure that all fumes had dissipated and that the "degassing" process had been completed.
