Golden Retriever Expertly Grabs A Fish From Her Backyard Pond

I remember going on fishing trips with my dad as a kid. I wasn't the greatest with a rod and reel, especially with such a limited attention span at that age, but he always made sure to let me pose with the biggest catch of the day for our family photo album regardless of how I actually fared. It was fun just climbing into the canoe and enjoying the beauty of nature. It was even better when we moved to a place with a pond in the backyard filled with yummy perch for dinner whenever we wanted!

This pup is fortunate enough to have one in her backyard, too, and she never hesitates to provide herself with a fresh meal. Unlike some other pooches who tend to struggle with the test of patience or have a hilarious case of mistaken fishy identification, Rani the golden retriever stares into the water until the time is just right. Thanks to some helpful pieces of bread floating around nearby, she merely has to wait a few moments for one fish to flap its fins over her way.

After a few seconds, Rani finally sees one swim her way and suddenly snaps into action. You can't even tell if she succeeded at first as she walks back up the wooden planks, but then she presents her prize to the camera. I wish she had been around to give me a few pointers as a kiddo!
