This might be a little unusual to some, but she decided to get a pregnancy cast. She had done the same for her first son Oliver, and the result was pretty stunning. Now with two casts, she can see the differences between her two boys in the womb right next to each other. So what's a pregnancy cast? It's when an expectant mother uses bandages, the way one would with an arm or a leg, to create a mold of her belly.
It may seem a bit silly, but pregnancy is something that lasts nearly a year and yet it is completely ephemeral. In an instant, a mother's belly goes away, and a new child is born. While that child may be precious, there is a loss that each mother experiences. Her bump is gone.
