Service Dog Ace Meets Pluto During His Trip To Disney World

Guide dogs are often forgotten heroes. So many people wouldn't be able to live independent lives without the help of their guide dog companions.

Everyone holds a special bond with their dog, but the special connection between a disabled person and their pup? I can't even imagine how close that relationship must be.

But, before a pooch can become a guide dog, they have to go through rigorous training. It's definitely not easy, but the smartest, most well-behaved dogs will make it through if they were meant to be a guide dog!

Of course, while undergoing training, younger pups are bound to slip up a little bit. That's what it means to be in training. These dogs need to be very reserved, which means their interaction with the public is very minimal in the sense that they aren't suppose to get excited or pull on their leash.

But again… that's what the training period is for! To learn and to grow.

This is Ace, a guide dog in training with Guide Dogs of America. He's posing for a picture with the cast of a local performance of Guys and Dolls because all dogs training to become full-fledged guide dogs need to become accustomed to all sorts of situations, including attending the theater! His handler mentioned that he was a very good boy throughout the whole performance.

Here he is in his holiday finest, happy and obedient as can be!

But what happened when Ace took a trip to Disney World, and Pluto tried to distract Ace from all the learning and work he's done to become a good guide dog?

Ace was certainly intrigued, and wavered from his training just a bit… but watch what he does at the end of the video. What a good boy!
