Enrique Iglesias And Anna Kournikova Announce The Surprise Birth Of Their New Baby

Surprise! Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova have just announced that they have welcomed a third child into their home. Their new baby, a girl, was born on January 30.

The couple are also parents to twins Lucy and Nicholas, who are 2. While they will occasionally share updates on the twins, the two had said nothing about Anna's pregnancy and kept their daughter's birth a secret for several weeks.

This follows the trend they set when Anna was pregnant with the twins. Following their birth, a family friend told People that the couple wanted to keep the pregnancy "very, very undercover." The friend explained, "I saw her cute belly. A friend told me like five months ago [that] they were pregnant but keeping it very, very undercover."

The same friend also explained that the couple generally keeps to themselves. "They basically only hang out with family and very close friends. They mostly keep to themselves."

Enrique simply captioned the post on Instagram: "My sunshine. 1.30.2020."

The surprising update thrilled fans of the couple, and comments are pouring in with good wishes. People also seem to love that the two managed to surprise everyone.

Anna also shared her own update with the same caption. In the photo she posted, she looks pretty happy to be holding her third baby on her chest. We have yet to see if the two will offer up any more details about the baby, but hopefully we'll at least get a name.

Enrique and Anna have been together for over two decades and have been through a lot of public ups and downs in their time together, like any long-term couple. They've also been quite open about sharing a lot of what they have been through, but usually through a specific lens.

One thing Anna has been open about is her desire to be a mom. Back in 2011, she said, "I absolutely want to have children, whether I have my own or adopt. I love taking care of people." But marriage, on the other hand, wasn't as important. "[Marriage] isn’t important to me. I’m in a happy relationship — that’s all that matters … I believe in commitment. I believe in being open and trusting each other and respecting each other completely."

Back in 2007, Enrique recognized that motherhood would suit Anna. "The only thing I can say is that, in my opinion, Anna, whether we are together or not, would be an ideal mother. I think she’d be the perfect mother, and I say it regardless of whether I’d be with her or not."
