A family who was told their bite-sized piglet would remain a tiny 'teacup' size the entirety of her lifetime were shocked when their beloved pet grew to be over 200 pounds!
The pig known as Peggy Sue grew up to be a very big girl and became troublesome for her beloved family. The city they live in allows only pigs up to 1oo pounds to be owned as pets. Peggy Sue was nearly twice that size and had to find a new home fast, so the family wouldn't get in trouble and she wouldn't find an untimely death.
Placing giant Peggy Sue proved to be extremely difficult, as this big girl needs space to roam and lots of care and attention. The amazing rescue organization Pig Harmony stepped in to help find a home for Peggy Sue with a woman who was thrilled to take in the giant pot belly pig. Kelly, who has loved pigs ever since she was a child, lovingly renamed the pig Emma and spoils her with lots of belly rubs and quality time.
