A woman from Colombia happened upon a baby lion that was abandoned by its parents. Deciding to hand-raise it, she made sure the little cub grew up safe, but after the animal started to become too big for her to handle, she knew it was time to bring it to an animal sanctuary, where it could interact with other lions.
This video shows the first time the woman is visiting her lion cub after giving him to the sanctuary, and without ruining what happens, I will say that this is one of the most magical things I have ever seen!
Animals not only have memories, they understand what it is to love, and be loved.
