Old Woman Has No Money—But A Mystery Man Restores Her Faith

Anthony Stephens is known for his willingness to help others and goes above and beyond for the customers at the Ingles grocery store where he works. Now, a recent act of kindness has touched thousands of people.

While he was working, an elderly woman who comes in every week discovered she had forgotten her purse at home and didn't have enough money to buy milk. The next train home wasn't coming for several more hours. The older woman said she was going to walk home to get the money, but Stephens knew she was in no condition and offered to drive her home. Anthony's kindness didn't stop there: he also bought her milk.

His coworker Linda Lydeen snapped a picture of Stephens as he put her arm around the older woman and led her to his car. The photo was posted Facebook and within a few days the number of "likes" and "shares" numbered up to 3,000. Stephens didn't even known anyone had taken a photo until much later and was shocked by the outpouring of support. This story shows that little acts of kindness can go a long way.
