Here's a fun fact for you. When Robin Gibb wrote "Islands in the Stream" he didn't imagine the BeeGees singing it. He thought it had more of an R&B vibe and imagined Marvin Gaye or Diana Ross making it a smash hit. While there's no doubt in my mind Marvin or Diana would have rocked this catchy tune, Robin's vision couldn't have been more wrong!
The following video proves that "Islands in the Stream" was the duet Country superstars Dolly Parton and Kenny Chesney were born to sing together. This flashback performance from 1983 is just as awesome as it was over 20 years ago… if not more.
