The powerful interaction between an Army soldier and his veteran grandfather is all you need to understand it's moving message. With very minimal branding in the 60-second ad, Food City managed to tell a story of a soldier's return home and remind us that family, above all, is most important.
As someone who comes from a military family, this video chilled me right to the bone…and it wasn't just because of the emotional homecoming. I like to imagine that the young soldier was looking for approval from his stern grandfather and he was SHOCKED to return home to his idol in uniform, but when the grandfather gave the salute, a sign of the utmost respect, the grandson finally felt like the hero he truly is.
