I love to cook, but sometimes I have a timing problem.

What I mean by that is I'll have all my ingredients, and I'll be ready to cook, and then I'll remember that I'm supposed to have room temperature butter or defrosted meat, and both of those things will still be in refrigerator.

Maybe it's because I'm so busy during the day, but for whatever reason, these little things tend to slip my mind a lot.

Luckily, this video helps people like me defrost meat (steak or chicken) in under an hour – and it doesn't involve a microwave!

All you need is a plastic bag and water that is almost boiling. A thermometer would help, but it's not necessary here. Drop the meat into the water, and before you know it, it's defrosted and ready to be cooked, and no one will be the wiser!
