I'm honestly surprised we're just learning about this story now.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, actor Skyler Gisondo (who played Ben Stiller's son in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb) revealed that Robin Williams helped him in a most unlikely way…
Teens have taken to Youtube to "prom-pose," or to ask their crush out to prom. As all of us can remember from high school, asking a girl or boy to prom is an exciting, but incredibly terrifying endeavor. I can only imagine it would be a little easier with some celebs helping you – which is exactly what happened to young Skyler.
Since Williams untimely death, we've heard a lot about magical good deeds he performed that no one talked about. For example, he had a special rider that required films he worked on to hire the homeless that no one spoke about until after he passed away. While this moment Williams shared with Skyler Gisondo is less serious than the homeless rider, it's still incredibly powerful and speaks to the type of man Robin Williams truly was.
Gisondo's poignant words describe Robin Williams perfectly:
"I realized that was the most awesome three minutes of my life and I've accepted it will go downhill from there," Gisondo shared with The Hollywood Reporter. "Robin was this bottomless reservoir of kindness and hilarity… It was just so special to work so closely with this guy who's movies I've grown up with and watch his preparedness and his kindness."
Please SHARE Robin's gentle spirit with all of your friends to help pay tribute to the wonderful actor we lost too soon in 2014!!
