Rachael Leahcar was born with retinitis pigmentosa and is 90% legally blind. But she never let that hold her back. She found her love of music at a very early age and has been singing and playing instruments ever since. After performing around South Australia, Leahcar auditioned for the first season of the The Voice Australia and blew everyone away!
She walked on stage with the help of a stage producer and then began singing a spine-tingling rendition of Edith Piaf's "La Vie en rose". Her jaw-dropping performance made all four coaches turned their chairs. Her incredible singing leaves the coaches and audience speechless.
This definitely won't be the last you hear of Leahcar. Shortly after this performance, she signed a record deal with Universal Music Australia and released her debut album, Shooting Star. Watch as she astonishes the audience in this breathtaking video.
