It's hard to believe Elvis Presley left this world over 37 years ago, since he is still so very much a part of pop culture.
His star will never, ever burn away, but after all these years, it is pretty amazing how many people still prefer the King of Rock and Roll to modern artists.
In the following video, you'll notice a few strange things about this rarely seen footage from Elvis' last public performance.
The show, later titled "Elvis in Concert," is one of only three performances for television that the "Suspicious Minds" crooner filmed in his lifetime and it premiered on October 3, 1977, about six weeks after his death.
Elvis' performance of "Are You Lonesome Tonight" sparked a lot of controversy, mainly because of Elvis' slurred speech and confusion around the 90-second mark.
Many say Elvis was in bad health during this performance, filmed only weeks before his tragic death. Others say he was on drugs or that he had crippling anxiety.
We'll never truly know what happened to the King in those last few weeks, but luckily his legacy will go on forever thanks to performances like this one!
