It's pretty amazing how adaptive animals can be. If they can't seem to find the solution to their problem with the first few tries, they'll just keep trying new ways to figure it out until they're successful. They're persistent, ingenious, and totally adorable.
Take YouTuber Chris Schnyder's little pug Otto for instance. The diminutive pup has a really hard time climbing slippery hardwood-floor stairs. I don't know if it's his size, his lack of dexterity or the length of his nails, but whatever it is, Otto has a problem.
So, after what I assume was many attempts to navigate his human's stairs properly, Otto simply found a new way to climb the steps.
In this video, you'll see as Otto abandons all conventions of stair-climbing, turns around, sticks his little pug booty in the air, and successfully climbs the slippery steps in reverse.
It's such a short video, but it's a really cute one that also serves as a great reminder of just how intuitive, persistent, and clever our pets can be.
Way to go, Otto. Before you know it, pups everywhere will be climbing stairs this way!
