My dog is amazing at living life. Whenever I'm stressed out or upset about something small, all I have to do is look at her and I feel better. You see, she doesn't think about yesterday, she doesn't worry about tomorrow — it's all about that very second. That's why this video speaks to me so very much.
The video description of Savour Every Moment says, "Dogs and cats seem to possess some inner secret to enjoying life. They're able to savour every single moment of the day; all the fun moments, and the goofy ones. The playful moments, the loving moments. If our pets could talk, they might tell us: 'When you're happy, don't forget to tell your face. Napping is beauty sleep for the soul. Eat like nobody's watching.'"
This short film by Keith Hopkin debuted in 2013 at the Tribeca Film Festival, and it became an instant hit with animal lovers all over the world. The film was shot on location in sand, snow and underwater with help from famed photographer Seth Casteel and a musical score by Carly Comando.
While it's easy to pass off those little things our pets love so much, whether it's dive-bombing into snow, waiting hours at the door just for someone to come home or cuddling up to you for a few sweet minutes, it's an important lesson for humans.
Without any words at all, it's able to evoke such beauty, wonder and calmness by simply following our beloved pets doing what they do best — living in the moment!
