Crafted in the 11th or 12th century — making it around 1,000 years old — this Buddhist statue was already a priceless treasure, but after being passed through a CT scanner by a group of Dutch scientists, this smiling statue just tripled in historical value.
Researchers had long suspected what the statue contained, but for the first time in history, they have been able to confirm their theories.
Made in the likeness of Buddhist master Liuquan, a student of the ancient Chinese Meditation School, this exceptionally valuable statue is the only of its kind available for scientific research here in the West.
Scientists are thrilled to finally have a clear image of the statue's contents, which they've obtained without risking any damage to the artifact.
