When planning for their annual charity calendar, these seniors decided they wanted to do something totally different. They decided to make their calendar movie-themed — featuring themselves as the stars. With nothing more than some costumes, make up, and a green screen, these good-humored elders made some real movie magic.
And of course, thanks to the power of the internet, the world is now buzzing with excitement — not just about their amazing photos, but also their stereotype-defying spirit. These photos prove that, though they may be our elders, they're still filled with fun, vitality, and a some good old-fashioned silliness!

Residents of the Henley Wood Retirement Village in Milton Keynes, England, wanted to do something special for their 2015 charity calendar.
Tired of nature photos and cute animals, the residents decided they wanted their calendar to be movie-themed — with them as the stars!
The residents, ages 64–93, spent six weeks perfecting poses from their favorite movies in front of a green screen.
"The dressing up was such fun," said one Henley Wood resident.
"Our photographer and the staff were marvelous and we never thought the interest in the idea would reach these dizzy heights."
"It was a labor of love for the Village and our wonderful community here."
Their retirement village is a part of the ExtraCare Charitable Trust, which enables older people to enjoy healthier, more active, and more independent lifestyles.
Their community strives to provide their residents with a modern alternative to the traditional care facilities and nursing homes.
All proceeds from the calendar sales will be used to fund the residents' future activities, which are plentiful and varied!
Their daily activities include arts and crafts, ceramics, computer and Internet training, gardening, woodwork, tai chi, wheelchair aerobics, and social events.
They also host special events such as bake-offs, summer galas, formal dances, choral festivals, Olympics, and even adventurous challenges like walking with wolves!
The residents enjoy coming up with fun and exciting ways to raise funds for their community, like decorating parasols to exhibit in charity walks.
From Harry Potter to The Wizard of Oz, this lively group of seniors perfectly nailed each photo.
It goes to show that seniors enjoy much more than the stereotypical retirement activities, like shuffleboard and knitting.
As these amazing photos prove, they enjoy fun and fantasy as much as anyone does.
