This incredible short video comes from the good people at America's Test Kitchen, and they certainly solved one of my all time biggest pet peeves when it comes to cooking corn!
We've all, unfortunately, experienced the huge annoyance caused by those terrible silk strands in freshly shucked corn. It seems that no matter how hard you try to get them all, there's always a few that end up stuck in between your teeth in the middle of a meal.
That just goes to show you how much Americans love their corn. Like the man who loves to share his corn on the cob with his pet cat, we're willing to go to great lengths to enjoy this tasty dish. Despite all the trouble it seems to cause us, we're all still willing to deal with the issues that this vegetable causes.
However, that chapter of our lives has come to a close. This has to be one of the simplest, most obvious food tricks of all time — I had no idea that this terribly frustrating problem had such an amazingly easy solution all this time!
After all these years of shucking corn unsuccessfully I'll finally be able to focus my time on more important things in the kitchen. Like burning my chicken!
