I admit that I like to stockpile and hold on to things way longer than I should. I haven’t crossed over into full-blown hoarder territory yet, but I’m definitely an accumulator. Due to this, I get very excited when I can figure out how to re-use an item in my inventory in a whole new way.
The concept is called "upcycling," and people are doing really amazing things with it, including turning old dresser drawers into fancy ottomans.
I’ve dabbled in the upcycling trend, like making a cork board out of old wine corks. But, as proud as I am of my resourceful efforts, it’s nothing in comparison to countless other crafters who have flipped doors into coffee tables, quarters into rings, and tuna cans into survival candles!
Sometimes upcycling projects are complicated. But the ones below, which only require an old rake, are so ridiculously simple even a novice DIYer could pull them off. Who even knew an old rake could look so great?!

First, clean the old rake.

Then detach the head and hang it up on the wall.

And that’s it! It's actually that simple. You can use it in a variety of ways, too, like as a kitchen utensil holder.

Or if you like wine, it could also be used as a glass rack.

You could also use it to organize your tools.

Have an old rake but need a new dish rack? Make the best of both worlds.

Usually a caterpillar blossoms into a beautiful butterfly, but in this case, an old rake evolves into a cute lawn ornament.

Need to organize those necklaces that are overflowing from your jewelry box? Paint an old rake and hang it on your wall.

Instead of using a rake to clean up leaves, use it to help plant new ones.
