Christina Anstead is treating herself amid her divorce.
The Christina on the Coast star is the owner of a new yacht. She shared news of her new purchase on Instagram on Thursday.
"AFTERMATH @prestigeyachtsofficial @suncountrycoastal ," Christina captioned the shot. In it, she stands on the boat with two bottles of champagne lifted over her head.
Buying the yacht comes less than a month after Christina announced she and husband Ant Anstead had decided to separate. There hasn't been much said one way or another about what led to the decision. Sources have said Christina found herself lonely and sad during the marriage.
The split was shocking to fans of the couple. Christina and Ant got married in a surprise wedding in December 2018. Months later, they announced they were expecting their first child together. Hudson London Anstead celebrated his first birthday just two weeks before Christina and Ant revealed the separation.
Christina Anstead is heading off the coast and onto the high seas. The newly single mom of three took to Instagram to share that she's the proud owner of a new yacht.
"AFTERMATH @prestigeyachtsofficial @suncountrycoastal ," she captioned the photo.
The name of the vessel seems to be a nod to the latest stage in Christina's life. It was less than a month ago that she announced that she and husband Ant Anstead had decided to separate. The two would have celebrated their second wedding anniversary this December.
Christina's new yacht is a Prestige 520. She bought the 52-foot motor yacht, which sleeps up to seven people, from Sun Country Coastal. The yacht dealership is based in her hometown of Newport Beach.
Interestingly, it's not Christina's first yacht. She and ex-husband Tarek El Moussa bought a yacht together in 2017. It's a 50-foot Sea Ray Sundancer 510. It was called the Flip or Flop after the then-couple's show.
Tarek joked about renaming the boat after their divorce.
"It used to be called 'Flip or Flop,'" he told People magazine.
"I recently changed it to 'Bad Decisions' because apparently, I've made a couple."
He said it was all in good fun and that he and Christina had laughed about it.
As fate would have it, he first met his new fiancée, Heather Rae Young, when their boats were docked next to each other at a Fourth of July gathering. He asked her to join him for a drink on his boat, and she agreed. Later, he asked her on a date, and the rest was history.
Christina seems to have been doing a lot of soul searching lately. She recently shared a message for people making assumptions about her life during this time.
"For those of you who don't know me (or think you know me) let me reintroduce myself. I hate crowds, I love traveling, all things spiritual, the ocean, and deep one-on-one conversations," she wrote.
"I never thought about being on TV. I wanted to be a sports agent like Jerry Maguire. But I always loved looking at houses with my parents especially model homes and I always wanted to be my own boss … So in college when I was called (intuitively) to get my real estate license at a local community college I followed my intuition."
"I got started in real estate at 21 which led to selling houses which led to flipping houses which led to TV. Now while I never wanted to be on TV, stepping out of my comfort zone and into the unknown has always been my thing," she continued.
"I live in a state of anxiousness and I'm so used to it that when it's not there I tend to feel a void and hop into something that causes the feeling I'm used to. This can be good and bad. And it's one of the things I'm working on breaking the pattern of.
"Sometimes anxiety and pursuit of new dreams leads me down amazing paths, other times it leaves me feeling lost and in a state of fight or flight / or crying in my closet. TV changed my life and I am grateful for the life it's provided, the experiences, the friends I've made along the way. Sometimes our calling is bigger than our plans."
"I never thought I would have one divorce let alone two. I never thought I would have 2 baby daddies – but sometimes life throws us curve balls. Instead of getting stuck in these 'setbacks', I choose to look at these challenges as opportunities to grow," Christina noted.
"So while some may judge me and throw around rumors about me, most of you support me. And that says a lot about this world and where we are headed. I'm messy, I'm real and I'm working on healing. I'm surrounded by extremely powerful women who help me cope, build me up, and push me to be better.
"If you've DM me or text me – I haven't written back because I'm taking time to clear the 'noise' and focus on myself and the kids. I appreciate the support and I hope my story inspires you to not be so hard on yourself for the decisions/choices you've made. We are all a work in progress. ✨♥️."
Christina's best friend and publicist, Cassie Zebisch, told People a similar story of how Christina's journey forward looks.
"Even though this is a really difficult time for Christina, she's doing her best to tune out all the noise and focus her energy on her children and her work," Cassie said.
"Even during the most challenging times, her resilience continues to inspire me every day."
"Her children are happy and healthy and [that's] all that matters," Cassie continued.
"She's really taking this time to focus on what's important in her life and she knows that she has tremendous support from all her close friends and family. Despite the false stories that are continuing to circulate about her with unnamed sources, she is doing her best trying to ignore it."
