Dolphins are some of the most beautiful animals in the deep blue sea. Known for their charm, intellect, and grace, they are some of the most beloved sea creatures (and just creatures in general) out there.
If you watch the video below, you will witness the underwater birth of a dolphin calf, as well as Mom and Baby's very first swim together. The video has been seen by millions of people worldwide.
Dolphin mothers give birth to their babies by releasing the tail first, so that the babies do not drown. They have a close parental bond with their offspring, and they absolutely love the company of others — which explains why this particular dolphin loves taking her canine friend for a swim each and every day. For up to 18 months, Mom provides care and nourishment to the baby calf through maturation. After that, young dolphins stay with their mothers for around six years until they have developed all of the skills they need to survive.
It's clear this mother and baby have an unbreakable bond from the start — just wait until you see the way in which they immediately start swimming alongside one another! They are such incredible creatures!
