When A Maniac With A Gun Began To Attack, This Teacher Did The Unimaginable… INCREDIBLE!

We've all had at least one teacher that's made a lasting impression on our lives. Whether it was particular lesson or just their way of speaking to us, some teachers stay with you long after you've graduated.

Though many teachers are influential, few can say that they're responsible for your very survival. Some may reach us in a special way — like the teacher who asked her students what they wish she knew — but not many can be called literal lifesavers.

That's what makes Brady Olson so special. A teacher of AP Government and Civics for more than nine years, this educator didn't think twice when his students' lives were threatened.

Now, the world is saluting the bravery of this special man — including his grateful students. After his heroic deed, I doubt they'll neglect to finish his homework assignments ever again!

Today in Lacey, WA, parents are tightly, and tearfully, clutching their children — and it's all thanks to the bravery of one heroic teacher.

It all started in the school commons, where a troubled student pulled out a .357 magnum and opened fire. When the two shots rang out, students screamed and began to run for their lives.

But one teacher, Brady Olson, chose to run toward the gunshots. He tackled the young shooter to the ground and detained him until police could arrive.

While the kids evacuated the building in terror, other teachers ran to help Brady wrestle the shooter.

While the kids bunkered down and waited for help to arrive, some alerted their parents to the shooting.

But Mr. Olson doesn't feel like a hero. He said in a statement, "As always, students come first, and today was no different. I reacted in a way that any other teacher would react..."

But students insist that if it hadn't been for Mr. Olson's selfless act, the community would currently be in mourning. Instead, they're thankful for another day, and grateful to the man who gave it to them.
