It always stuns me when communities rally together to help one of their own.
It reminds me of when a crew of firefighters, excavators and the county came together to save one puppy from a drain pipe or when a kind stranger helped raise money for a dying grandpa.
Today, I look toward one teacher and his students at Brenham High School who gave a little boy a much needed miracle.
"We built a computer, stuff like that," said student Jacqui Deans. "But I never thought we would be changing someone's life."
Computer science teacher Trenton Hall and his students were lucky enough to be provided with a $1500 3-D printer.
However, they never imagined that they would be using it for this.
"We've done bracelets. We've done iPhone cases," Hall said, but it wasn't until a mother, Jeannette Olsen, whose son's daycare is located across the street from Brenham High, asked for a special request.
The decision was easy for the entire class, it's not everyday that you get to change a little boy's life.
3-D printers, instead of using ink, use any solid material that can be melted down and reshaped, such as plastic. Thus, they're able to print out three-dimensional objects.
See how the students used their 3-D printer, and their hearts, to forever transform the lives of one family in need in the video below.
