By now, you’ve probably seen plenty of cakes with a sweet surprise inside — from hidden rainbows to green shamrocks — but this cake takes dessert to a whole new level.
In the video below, the household cook demonstrates how to make a "Surprise Crepe Cake." From the outside, you have no idea that there is something extra special hiding underneath all the cake and icing. We won't spoil it for you, so you'll have to watch the video to see the beautiful surprise waiting when she cuts into the crepe.
To make it, you'll just need the following ingredients:
Crepes:
- 3 eggs
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 stick unsalted butter melted
- 1 1/2 cups milk (380ml)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Whipped Cream Filling: (or use your favorite crepe cake filling)
- 2 cups whipping cream (480ml)
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
