Kelly Rowland Talks Body After Baby, Says She Doesn’t Have Time For Weight-Shamers

Tired of hearing people body shaming new moms for not slimming down immediately after giving birth, Destiny's Child alum (and new mom) Kelly Rowland got real about her own body.

"When you have your child, it is your time to enjoy being a mother. My son just makes my world go round, so I don't even think about losing the weight and am just enjoying the amazinghood of being a mother. That's the most beautiful thing," Rowland, who gave birth to her her first child, Titan Jewell Weatherspoon, on November 4, told LittleThings.

Rowland is loving her post-baby curves, saying she feels "sexier" since giving birth.

"We should all embrace our bodies," she said. "I feel like you shouldn't exercise to be skinny. You should exercise to feel good about yourself."

As for any weight-shamers, she's not listening. In fact, she admits that since becoming a mother, she's learned to tune out all the negative energy and only surround herself with positive people.

"I've decided to not tolerate any BS. I don't want that around my kid," she said.

Her main focus is on husband Tim Weatherspoon and their adorable six-month-old son.

"I'm just in love with him," she said, adding that Titan is reaching new milestones each day. "From him trying to crawl, to trying to get his first syllable out, to reaching out to me to hold him — that is just awesome! I love that."

And for those who think celebrities have it easy, Rowland admits being a mom still comes with plenty of messy mishaps.

"When I was on a plane, there wasn't a changing table. So it's me and Titan in the tiny plane bathroom. And then, there was just poop everywhere. I'm trying to catch it with my hand. I was like, 'Is this really happening?!' It's just insane," Rowland said with a laugh.

"I can't even believe it. It blows my mind. It's the most bizarre thing. Nothing can prepare you for that. Thankfully, Dreft baby laundry detergent saves the day from all these unexpected messes."

Kelly and her son, whose own laundry needs are changing as he transitions from a newborn to an active baby, will be chronicling the unforgettable moments they share as a family exclusively on Dreft's social media channels.
