This tiny baby bunny was abandoned from its mother, and had a very small chance of survival, had a group of human heroes not saved her. In the video, the rabbit named Red enjoys a yummy breakfast, being bottle-fed by a wildlife caretaker.
"This is a video of one of the wild bunnies I had the pleasure of caring for, eating his breakfast! Every mealtime, he would do his little march because he was so excited for his breakfast," she wrote.
This little guy is so excited for his meal, and his reaction is too cute for words. Thankfully, he is in good hands.
Although this baby was abandoned, it is important to note that if you find a wild baby bunny nest, you should let them be. Many people don't realize that rabbit mothers nurse their babies for approximately five minutes a day — and then leave the nest. Both wild and domestic mothers will be in the nest early in the morning and then return again in the evening.
By removing the babies from the nest, you could be greatly reducing their chances of survival. If you think something looks amiss and the bunnies might need help, call a local wildlife rescue. Wild animals that have been abandoned or need human help should always be in the care of trained and capable hands.
