I absolutely love having fresh produce in the house throughout the year.
There's nothing like biting into a cool, crisp cucumber or even a creative vegetable creation of my own. I might not always eat healthy, but having fresh fruits and veggies in the house at least gives me the option, like homemade sweet potato chips. And it's pretty hard not to smile when I open the refrigerator and see all kinds of delicious and healthy options to choose from. But one piece of produce that has always frightened me? The avocado.
With its hard exterior and giant pit, the avocado can be quite intimidating. Sure, I love guacamole or some fresh sliced avocado on my salad, but how do I get to the good stuff without making a giant mess? And storing avocados has proven just as daunting — anytime I put them in the refrigerator they turn brown.
But when I saw what Morgan did with these avocados, all of my avocado resistance melted away. Not only does she make it easy to pit and slice an avocado, but she's got the perfect secret for keeping my leftovers from turning brown! With her clever, easy-to-follow method, I'm certainly going to be enjoying a lot more of this delicious, green treat.
