This is one of the reasons why I love the power of the internet so much. Sure, you sometimes see all the tragic and controversial stories dominating the headlines in the news, but you also get to see humanity at it’s best.
In this next clip, a police officer approaches a group of young, teenaged boys playing a pick-up game of touch football in the park. Sure, everyone has seen a glimpse of the negative news lately, but what this police officer does next will surprise you – in the most positive way too, of course.
The cop actually takes the time to join in on the football game while a bystander records it all on his smartphone. Talk about a great way of getting involved and doing something great for the youth of your local community, right? I have a feeling that more of our brave men who put themselves in the line of duty will take note and follow this great example.
This kind of reminds me of the video of a police officer who calls a 5-year-old boy to help (it also totally left me in tears!). Good deeds can definitely go both ways!
