‘Bachelor’ Stars Arie Luyendyk Jr. And Lauren Burnham Just Found Out They’re Having Twins

Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham are expecting twins! The couple just shared the super-happy news in a YouTube video that included footage from inside the doctor's office. The moment Lauren and Arie learn there are two heartbeats is pretty magical. Cue the happy tears.

What makes the news even sweeter is that Lauren and Arie went through a devastating miscarriage earlier this year. They welcomed their daughter in May 2019. Then the couple announced they were expecting again about a year later. However, that pregnancy ended in loss.

The couple, who document their family life on their YouTube channel, chose to show everything to the public. From the moment Lauren and Arie learned they were expecting to the upsetting doctor's visit when they learned they'd lost the baby, they didn't hold anything back.

Lauren and Arie are so thrilled to be gearing up to welcome not one, but two babies into the world. And honestly, we're so excited for them. While everyone really loved to hate on Lauren and Arie after the way his season of The Bachelor ended, they seem to be truly happy and in love. It's hard not to root for them. They're just so darn adorable.

If you didn't catch his season, Arie ditched Becca — whom he had given a ring to — because he couldn't stop thinking about Lauren. Becca was the clear fan favorite, so people were really disappointed that he went back on the engagement so he could be with Lauren. But Arie definitely followed his heart. You can tell how in love the two still are, years after the end of his season. While it wasn't the popular choice, it was the right one.

Last May, the two welcomed their first baby, a daughter named Alessi. They've been documenting their family life and all their adventures on YouTube. Unfortunately, that included a deeply challenging experience — losing a pregnancy earlier this year.

Thankfully, this pregnancy seems to be going a lot more smoothly. Before Arie and Lauren went into the doctor's office to see the baby's heartbeat, Lauren talked about how she was feeling super hungry and super nauseous this time. Arie commented that those things made him feel confident that those were both good signs.

Arie was right on the money! The YouTube video shows footage of Lauren and Arie learning that she's pregnant with two babies. It's so incredibly heartwarming to see how happy they are. Of course, there are always nerves with any pregnancy, and expecting twins is huge news to digest, but you can tell they are genuinely thrilled for a healthy pregnancy and to be growing their family.

They've certainly had a tough few months. In a YouTube video just after the miscarriage, Arie talked about how hard it was on them. “It’s been a roller coaster of emotions,” he said. “It’s consumed our thoughts for the last month. It’s been hard holding this back from everybody."

Now the couple couldn't be more thrilled. They shared the happy news with followers via the YouTube video. Then they posted the announcement to Instagram. It looks like little Alessi can't wait to step into her big sister role.

Arie also shared the first images of his two little "miracles." He wrote, "Love them with all my heart already." The excitement is real. So real, in fact, that the babies already have their own Instagram account, and they aren't even here yet. That account has no posts, but nearly 80,000 followers.

There will definitely be a lot of fun, hard, and revealing moments to come. Thankfully, Lauren and Arie seem like they plan to stay pretty open about their family life. We can expect them to keep documenting everything on their YouTube channel, and we can't wait to follow along.

Life with twins and a toddler probably won't be easy. But these two are so in love that chances are that's going to make it so worth it. They've already shown that they can handle just about anything together. Twins? No big deal. They've totally got this.
