Sweet treats like gummy worms, ladyfingers, and blood oranges have gross names. But taste-wise? Glorious!
Just look at the popularity of mud pies, which got its name because it resembled the banks of the Mississippi river, but is actually just gooey chocolate sauce on top of a crumbly chocolate crust served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Or dirt cake, which we once taught you how to make in a Mason jar, which is just delicious Oreo cookies blended to crumbs to resemble earth mixed with pudding and cream cheese. We don't care what the name is, that sounds yum to the extreme.
If you are a fan of dirt cake and enjoy a fun, seasonal twist, look no further than this sand pudding dessert that kids and adults will get a real kick out of and is great for a beach barbecue. All you need to do is a food processor, prettiest beach pail and shovel you can find, and a few basic items.
