You know the old saying "kill two birds with one stone"? Well this next video is basically the embodiment of that statement, except it is even better because it is also adorable.
With a sleepy newborn in need of a peaceful and long nap, and an overactive cat who is in need of some serious playtime, these parents had to come up with something that would take care of both, but also be hands-free so they could get some things of their own done.
Rather than separate the pet and baby and put them in different rooms where it would be hard to keep an eye on both, or place the baby and the cat in the same bed and hope that they both snuggle up and doze off (like the curious kitty who kept her distance and watched the baby from under the covers), these parents decided to keep them both in the same room where they would be in sight the entire time.
Placing a feathered cat toy underneath the sleepy baby and turning on the rocking feature on her swinging bed, they were able to rock baby to sleep while also giving their cat a moving target to keep her busy. This is something we are sure moms will be copying left and right!
