Cats are notorious for their ability to sleep through just about anything. Honestly, I don't think I've ever had a cat that has spent less than 90 percent of their day just sleeping and eating. So when a beautiful kitty named Viivi was sound asleep, her owner knew it would take something very special to make it worth her while to open her eyes. Rather than scratching her behind the ears or making a lot of noise, he decided to use the power of smell to rouse this tired feline… and all he needed was a piece of ham.
Honestly, I have no idea how Viivi has managed to stay asleep like this for so long. Just like this cat who is managing to perform a faceplant and take a nap at the same time, this tired kitty's sleeping position makes it look like she can't even breathe! But she sure seems comfortable just the way she is. Actually, I didn't even think the scent of a succulent slice of ham would be enough to convince her to get up. After all, we've seen before that you can do just about anything to a sleeping cat and they won't even flinch. In the end, though, Viivi's desire for a treat won over her desire to sleep.
I can totally sympathize with Viivi's love for an edible "alarm clock." Half the time, the only thing that gets me up in the morning is my rumbling tummy, and when I finally get my paws on some breakfast, I'm just as excited about it as Viivi is about her ham! If someone could create an alarm clock that gave off the smell of donuts instead of an annoying sound, I'd never let them go out of business.
