Paris Hilton and her boyfriend, Carter Reum, are ready to take a big next step: parenthood! The 39-year-old heiress recently revealed that she's been undergoing IVF treatments to jump-start the process.
It doesn't sound like Paris has concerns about infertility but that she's interested in having twins — specifically one boy and one girl. While being interviewed on The Trend Reporter With Mara podcast, Paris explained, "We have been doing the IVF, so I can pick twins if I like."
Paris also said that her good friend Kim Kardashian told her all about IVF, and even introduced Paris to her own doctor.
Paris also added that she's pretty far into the process and recently had her eggs retrieved.
"It was tough, but I knew it would be worth it. I did it a couple of times."
However, it sounds like she has a great partner in Carter:
"Just doing it together and having a partner that is just so supportive and always makes me feel just like a princess all the time … that it wasn't that bad."
While Paris and Carter have been friends for 15 years, they didn't become romantically involved until Thanksgiving 2019. She told People all about their relationship last year:
"I've known him for 15 years. Then [Reum's sister Halle Hammond] invited us to Thanksgiving and we just had this incredible chemistry. We had our first date and haven't spent a night apart since. It's pretty amazing."
Paris and her ex Chris Zylka split up in 2018, and she was sure there wasn't anyone else out there:
"After my last breakup, I thought I was going to be alone forever. I was like, I give up. I'll just focus on myself. I don't need anyone. So to have actually fallen in love, I just feel so grateful."
Now Paris sounds thrilled to be making baby plans with Carter:
"I'm really excited just to move on for the next step of my life and finally just have a real life. Because I really do believe that having a family and having children is the meaning of life. And I haven't got to experience that yet, because I didn't feel like anybody deserved that love from me, and now I finally found the person who does."
In September 2020, Paris appeared on the LadyGang podcast and revealed she's already got her daughter's name picked out:
"I have baby London, which is the girl, and I'm trying to figure out a name for the boy."
She even appealed for help:
"So if you have any suggestions, I'm asking my friends. I don't want a theme of cities, but I don't know — it's hard to decide. London for sure for the girl; the boy, I'm just still trying to decide on."
Paris and Carter celebrated their one-year anniversary in December 2020. She shared a sweet video montage of the pair alongside a lengthy caption:
"Happy 1 year Anniversary my love! I love that we celebrate our love every month! I can't believe it's only been a year. It feels like I've been with you a lifetime!"
"I have never felt so close to another person in my life. And that's because you're the first one who tore down the walls I built around my heart and opened up my heart in a way that I didn't know was possible."
She concluded, "I truly believe that we were custom-made for each other and meant to be. Nothing in my life has ever felt so right or so perfect! Every day I feel like I'm in a dream. There's no one I'd rather spend forever with."
